Versions of DxO ViewPoint 4
There are 2 versions of DxO ViewPoint:
- As a standalone application, DxO ViewPoint is completely autonomous. Images corrected using DXO Viewpoint can subsequently be opened in a host application for further processing.
- The DxO ViewPoint plugin can be used with four applications:
- DxO PhotoLab 6
- Adobe Photoshop (2019 to 2022)
- Adobe Photoshop Elements (2019 to 2022)
- Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic
DxO ViewPoint 4 works with older versions of Photoshop and Lightroom, but users should be advised that DxO do not offer support for these applications.
Plugin for DxO PhotoLab
In plugin mode, DxO ViewPoint is fully integrated into the DxO PhotoLab workflow and appears as a dedicated palette on the Customize tab. This version offers the best user experience because it lets you correct images within a non-destructive RAW workflow.
Plugin for third-party applications
If an image has been opened in one of these applications, it can be provisionally transferred into DxO ViewPoint as an option. Once the image has been processed in the DxO ViewPoint workspace it can then be transferred back into the host software.
